As a certified Initial Mediation Trainer with the New York State Unified Court System Office of ADR and Court Improvement Programs, Elena provides high-quality basic mediation training to the Community Dispute Resolution Centers throughout New York State. The training can be held over four or five days, and is customized to reflect the programmatic nuances of each individual CDRC.

Elena's basic mediation training is designed to give new mediators a firm foundation in facilitative mediation, with a strategic blend of theory and practice. The five core values of mediation (Self-Determination; Impartiality; Confidentiality; Safety; and Quality) are a touchstone of the training and are woven throughout the training agenda.

Elena applies her background in performance and knowledge of learning modalities to deliver a training experience that is fun, thorough, engaging, and well-organized.

A few words from past training participants:

Wonderfully inspiring 4 days! Challenging concepts presented in such an interesting way.
Easy-going; respectful; good use of humor; pace set well; attention paid to energy of the group.
Energy. Positivity. Knowledge. Humor.
Extremely well done and inspiring.
Elena was so engaging and down to earth. It’s rare to see such a knowledgeable person be so caring and humble.
Please come back and do ALL of our trainings. Pretty, pretty, please!
